Back by popular demand! Join Rich Velletri as he journeys to the wreckage of an old military aircraft that crashed in the early 1960s and learn about details of the fateful flight. The route to the crash site is along the Appalachian Trail and offers great views of Wintergreen and the Rockfish Valley. Hikers will parallel many of the historic pig walls located along the Blue Ridge. This six mile round trip hike is rated as moderate to difficult. Dress for all weather conditions and bring food and water. Rain date: April 20. Payment is due at time of registration.
