TNFW’s intern, Valerie Wessel will share her experience as volunteer research assistant for Virginia Tech’ Dr. Marcella Kelly’s Wildlife Habitat and Population Dynamics. Valerie will give an overview of the predator-prey dynamics between white-tailed deer and black bears in Virginia and how non-invasive camera trapping techniques have allowed researchers to keep a sharp eye on these populations for over 15 years.
