This maple sugar program is designed just for homeschool students. Students will learn the science behind maple sugaring by identifying and exploring tree tapping techniques, discovering the historical significance its production and learn how to turn sap into a sweet syrupy substance. This program includes a hike to nearby sugar bush. Students and chaperons should be dressed for the weather and wear warm coats, hats, mittens, and boots if the weather is cold. Appropriate for all ages! Children ages 3 and under are free.
