Instructors for the weekend include well known botanists, authors, and artists, each prepared with a full weekend of activities and lectures that will reconnect you with nature

Field Studies Institute

WILD! Adventures

Our goal this year is to get everyone outside to explore the wonder that surrounds us. Each of our summer activities are designed to excite the budding naturalist within. We look forward to making new discoveries with your child. The magic of Wintergreen will captivate your child's imagination as they discover the Blue Ridge Mountains with the Wintergreen Nature Foundation.

Fall Foliage Festival

Come one, come all to the Fall Foliage Festival at the Trillium House October 13 - 14, 2007. The craft fair is open from 10 AM - 4 PM Saturday and Sunday. There will be hikes, face painting, pumpkins and more. The craft fair is free; other activities may involve a nominal charge

A Cradle for Democracy: A Winter Lecture Performance

Many of the events that led to the American Revolution happened in Virginia 's House of Burgesses with firebrands like Patrick Henry and the Cabells who were outspoken Patriots. One of the most enjoyable ways to understand and appreciate this colorful tapestry of the most influential chapters of American history is by recreating the “passion” of those days with actors on stage. The Wintergreen Nature Foundation and the Historical Society of Nelson County invite you Nelson County High School for three performances this winter.
