Wintergreen Performing Arts

Wintergreen Performing Arts, Inc. is a non-profit organization that produces a high-quality summer music festivals. TWNF collaborates yearly with WPA's annual summer festival, providing hikes, program venues, and more.

Mountain Women

Mountain Women is a networking and social support group with mechanisms to accommodate special interests, communication and neighborhood cohesion, as well as to contribute to the vitality of the greater Wintergreen community. Membership is open to all women who are full-time, part-time, seasonal or weekender mountain residents. Meetings are held the second Friday of each month.

Virginia Museum of Natural History

Providing exhibits, programs, and field trips for the general public. The Virginia Museum of Natural History also offers teacher training seminars, special publications for teachers on natural history called Nature Notes, and science kits for classroom use.

The Virginia Living Museum

A spectacular combination of the best and most enjoyable elements of a native wildlife park, science museum, aquarium, botanical preserve and planetarium -- all in one setting.

Blue Ridge Community College Arboretum

The Blue Ridge Community College Arboretum is a living museum of native and naturalized plants from around the Commonwealth. Our purpose is the promotion of knowledge, enjoyment, use and conservation of Virginia's native plants.

Nelson County

Nelson County is home to The Wintergreen Nature Foundation and Wintergreen Resort. This site includes information on outdoor recreation, events, lodging and much more.

Rural Nelson

Rural Nelson, a non-profit citizens' group, was established in 1999 in response to a genuine concern that citizens be involved in Nelson County's planning process. With the help of a paid Field Officer, we are fulfilling that mission.
