Hold Class in the Great Outdoors

Book now for your class's spring field trip.

The Wintergreen Nature Foundation is a wonderful educational resource for children in Nelson and surrounding counties. Bring students to our outdoors classroom and test the health of local streams with the Foundation's staff as well and trained volunteer naturalists. Or have your class take an interpretive hike focusing on the unique geology, botany, or cultural history found in this area of the Blue Ridge. Classes and trips are available for all ages and time frames - we can adjust topics and level of detail according to the age and interests of your group.

Contact the Nature Foundation by email or call 434-325-8169 to find out more on our education youth programs for school or other organized groups. Spring dates fill up early so call now to be sure you have your spot reserved!

Also note that there are still a few times available for school and scout groups during the week of Maple Sugar Days, March 6-10. Click here to see the week's program or here to go directly to the information on the Maple Sugar Days school programs.
