Girl Scout ProgramsBadge Programs for Girl ScoutsThe Wintergreen Nature Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization that exists to encourage the understanding, appreciation, and conservation of the natural and cultural resources of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. The Foundation functions as a research and education facility for its members and visitors, and serves as a host site for regional and national conservation efforts. As part of this mission, the Nature Foundation provides hands-on , fun educational programs for all ages. Sessions for Girl Scout troops are active, outdoors, and full of exciting interactions with one another and the natural world. All programs listed in this brochure meet minimum requirements to earn the badge. PriceCost for badge programs is $10.00 per girl, with a minimum charge of $50.00. Troop leaders and parent chaperones are welcomed free of charge.SchedulingDaisy Girl Scout programs require two hours in the field; Brownie Try-Its and Junior Girl Scout badges require three hours in the field.Register your troop by email, providing the following information: Troop Type: Daisy, Brownie, or Girl Scout Troop #: Leader Name: Mailing Address:
